How does it work?
Chemical peels resurface the skin and removes thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin from the face and other parts of the body. The underlying skin layers are stimulated to form a revived and rejuvenated surface with improved skin clarity and texture producing a healthier and more youthful appearance.

How is the treatment performed?
After a comprehensive assessment of your skin a decision will be made on which type of chemical peel is suitable and appropriate for your needs. A decision will be made as to whether pre-treatment with the Obagi Nuderm creams is appropriate. Your surgeon will provide you with these. The treatment with these creams is related to the duration of the skin cycle. It may be necessary to use the creams for a longer period of time. Then you go back and have the peel, and the layer/s of the peel will be applied to the desired area and you may experience a moderate burning sensation that lasts two to three minutes for each layer applied.
